Base layer:

28 grams (1 scoop) whey protein powder

1/2 cup yogurt

1 egg

2 egg whites

1/4 cup agave syrup

2 tsp cinnamon

2 1/2 cups oatmeal

Mix all ingredients together and spread in a 9X13 pan that has been sprayed with oil.

Blackberry layer:

Probably one cup of blackberries.  Half I had cooked for a few minutes in the microwave to make ‘blackberry jam.’  The  other half I just mashed with a potato masher so  I could spread them around.  They were a little tart for my taste, so I blended in some splenda.  Sorry this  part is not more accurate, but you get the picture.  Almost any fruit that you could mash and spread in a thin layer.  Probably could use some of that ‘just  fruit’ jam stuff, but need to use less.  Spread the mashed fruit in a thin layer on top of the oatmeal layer.


1/2 cup oat bran

1/4 cup walnuts, chopped fine

2 Tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1 Tbsp lite butter

Mix the dry  ingredients together.  Then cut the butter in to make a crumbly mixture.  Spread the crumble mixture over the fruit layer.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 17 minutes.

Cut into 12 large bars, they are about 150 calories each.  Or 18 bars, they are 100 calories each. Or 24 squares, they are only  75 calories each.  Okay I’ll stop.
